You don’t have to be a professional to assemble the boards.

Don’t go to the shops, don’t destroy your car to transport raw wood. There is a high probability that the wooden board will be crooked or too light or. will resonate too much after being made or even bounce with every bag thrown. You probably wouldn’t want all the bags already thrown to fall off the board at that time.

Build your own game board

The wood and screws game set includes everything you need to make your own two game boards. All wood is cut with a top-quality and precise woodworking machine and cut to the standard dimensions required for playing the board game Štrbunk.

The hole and edges are machined and sanded to maximum smoothness. All dowel holes are the same depth.

RECOMMENDED: Finally, you can paint, print and varnish the boards. Our varnished boards have a three-layer varnish.

Your set includes parts to build two game boards. To build one game board you will need:

  • FRAME: 2 x 119 cm and 4 x 55 cm long and 6 cm high crossbars
  • LEG: 2 x 33 cm long and 3 x 5 cm thick sticks and a board measuring 49 x 15 x 3 cm
  • BOARD: size 122 x 61 cm
  • DOWEL and two BOLTS with washers and nut
  • PLASTIC HAMMER, WRENCH #10 and WOOD GLUE (not included)

The picture does not show the included dowels and screws. The picture only shows the wooden parts for assembling one board.

Assembly instructions

1. Attach all 4 shorter
(55 x 6 cm) slats to the longer slat (119 x 6 cm). Fill the holes where you will insert the dowels with just a drop of wood glue. Tap the slats with a rubber mallet to make them come into contact. Attach the other longer slat (119 x 6 cm) to the other side using the same procedure.

2. Place an old blanket, sheet or cardboard on the floor. Place the board (122 x 61 cm) on the surface so that the dowel holes are visible. Fill the holes in the board with a small drop of wood glue, insert the dowels and tap them in with a hammer. Apply glue to the surface of the board where the frame will fit. Place the frame evenly on the dowels on the board and tap it evenly with a hammer until it comes into contact with the board. Immediately wipe off any glue that has come out from under the frame with a dry cloth.

3. Leave the board still lying on the ground for leg placement.

4. Insert the two screws from the outside into the hole in the frame. Position the leg as shown in the picture on the right and tighten it with the appropriate wrench.

5. Tighten the screws at your own discretion – the tighter you tighten them, the tighter the leg will lift. We recommend tightening the screws enough so that the leg of the board will not open on its own  (so that your fingers are not injured when putting the board away).

6. You can stick a thin rubber strip on the bottom of the board and on the leg that touches the ground. This will protect the wood when using the board on rough surfaces (sand, asphalt, paving stones, etc.), parquet or ceramic tiles.

Technical data

Game board: The game board is made of waterproof plywood made of high-quality 100% spruce wood, which has the highest durability and resistance to moisture. The surface is resistant to temperatures from -40 to +50˚C. Its upper visible surface is 100 x 50 cm. The back of the board is raised from the ground at a right angle to a height of 28 cm. The hole is in the center of the board, 15.3 cm in diameter and with rounded edges.

Maintenance and storage: Although the entire wood is highly resistant to moisture, we recommend that you use the game in dry weather and store it in a dry area, raised off the ground. We recommend that you do not leave it on grass or other damp surfaces for a long time.

Cleaning: The wooden parts can be washed with water. It is advisable to wipe them dry. It is best to wipe them with a slightly damp, but not rough, cloth.

Weight of one board: 7 kg.
